The Commedia Puss in Boots is the tale of the foolish youngest son of a miller, who follows the advice of a clever cat in extraordinary footwear to achieve nobility and a fine marriage. With swordfights and tumbling, Puss in Boots outwits many foes, including the great laundry giant!

The players prepare...

Columbine wants to warm up.  Scaramouche ends up having to fight her.

He doesn't do very well against Columbine.

Pantalone introduces himself...

Then promptly falls asleep.

While Pantalone sleeps, Arlequin asks the audience for help.

The audience has to help Pantalone remember all the things he has to give to his sons: his mill, his ox and his cat.

Rosetta watches as everyone gets ready to perform.

They all look at her, because they can't find the story book.

She's mad, because she says she doesn't have it.

Pantalone (as the Miller) gives away his possessions to his sons.

The youngest son gets the cat, Puss in Boots.

She makes him offer her the boots nicely.

And she makes him put them on her.

They go off in search of fame and fortune, and, hearing the King coming, she pushes him in the river.

The King approaches.

Scaramouche falls in love with the King's daughter.

Puss in Boots gets into a fight with one of the King's knights.

They fight well, but eventually Puss wins.

The King's minstrel looks on.

Puss in Boots asks the King for a quest for her master.

The Knight and Puss fight again.

The King looks to the tower where the Ogre lives.

He tells Scaramouche that the Ogre must be defeated.

Rosetta waves goodbye to her new-found love.

They come to the store of the Baker.

The Baker sells bread and rolls.

There are 2 soldiers there.

Puss in Boots tricks the soldiers so that she and Scaramouche can have swords.

The soldiers are afraid of the "invisible tiger" that Puss says is lurking around.

They think it's about to attack them, and they give Puss and Scaramouche their swords and run off.

Scaramouche also thinks the tiger is real, and makes Puss tie it up.

The Baker then has to deal with the invisible tiger.

They come to the tower of the Ogre.

The guards don't want to let them in.

They fight over the gift Puss says she brings the Ogre.

Then the guard and Puss fight.

The guard loses and goes off to get the Ogre.

The Ogre is made out of a pile of dirty laundry that has been cursed by a wizard.

Puss fights the Ogre.

The ogre is unwrapped.

And defeated.

Puss in Boots and her Master live happily ever after.
